I was referred to Mr Thomas's clinic after the discovery of a large mass on my left kidney. After full discussion it was decided that the optimum strategy was to remove my kidney. Mr Thomas was at great pains to answer all mine and my wife's questions explaining the options, the plusses and minuses of each approach. He was very professional and his assured manner put me at ease in a stressful situation Prior to the operation Mr Thomas asked if I would like him to phone my wife after the procedure to let her know how it progressed. My wife was touched by this very personal approach and reassured to be informed of my condition from the "horses mouth" so to speak. We both think that this was a very considerate gesture especially knowing how busy he would be and how valuable his time is. My pain levels were well managed, I was discharged the next evening with almost no pain, only moderate discomfort when moving due to the incision. Within four weeks I was back cycling, approx. 10 miles to collect my newspaper. I was also walking through our local woods accompanied by a friend and her dog and along the cliffs at Dover. I have again visited Mr Thomas for a follow up consultation and he was very thorough going through the procedure and the outcome, showing scans where relevant etc. Finally he asked if we had any further questions and was happy to spend time going through various do's and don'ts relating to moving forward with a single kidney. Keep up the good work!

Mr Thomas was empathetic, positive and informative. The surgery carried out was of a high standard using modern equipment. He had a caring attitude throughout and instilled confidence. Good interpersonal skills underpinned his professional skill and competence. I would have liked to have had the results of the biopsy of my tumour presented sooner than three months after the operation, but that delay is prpbably due to the workings of the NHS appointments system.

Mr Thomas performed key hole surgery on my Mother to remove a tumour from her kidney (using robotic technology). She was treated very well & was out of hospital the next day and is making a full recovery!. Mr Thomas is one of those rare doctors who manages to remain personable, approachable and kind whilst still being professional and very efficient at all times. As a family we are very grateful for all he has done for Mum and we cannot praise him enough.

Mr Thomas performed an operation on me for an enlarged prostate. I was very impressed by his friendly and professional attitude on the initial consultation, operation and follow up meetings. What a nice man.

Milan Thomas removed my left kidney in February following a CT scan showing a mass on my left kidney. He was right in that it was a renal carcinoma. From our very first meeting - he has a wonderful smile and a great sense of humour - I felt at ease. Throughout the treatment he explained fully the procedure and kept me informed the whole time. I was discharged the next day and have never looked back. Fortunately I needed no further treatment but will receive follow up CT scans and appointments. He has such a wonder manner about him that it eases any worries you may have. He is a super guy who I would wholly recommend.
